Who is behind 146REHAB?

Thomas Yarrow, founder of 146REHAB Thomas Yarrow, founder of 146REHAB

My name is Thomas Yarrow, and I am the founder of 146REHAB. I have a degree in Sports Therapy and have worked with many active people and athletes who want to recover from injury and improve their performance.

After completing my degree I went deep into biomechanics and how the human body moves. That has given me a detailed understanding of how the bones and joints move, and the crucial role they play in the rehab process. The foundation of my approach is simple: help people recover and get back to the activity that matters most to them, whether that's competing in sport or being able to walk around pain free.

"You should be able to pick up shopping or play with your children without worrying that your back might give out."

I've never liked the idea of treating everyone the same and handing them a 'generic' rehab plan—every person moves and responds differently. Our 1:1 approach is built around treating each injured patient as an individual, and that's where we've seen some of our best outcomes.

What I Offer

assessment — diagnosis — personalised rehab

Here at 146REHAB we offer in-person injury rehabilitation, consisting of an assessment, diagnosis and followed by the required rehab. We treat a variety of patients, from your average gym goers to athletes wanting to return back to their given sport.

Our 1:1 approach means that we tailor rehab movements and programs specifically to you as an individual rather than just treating everyone the same and hoping for the best!

We offer remote check-ins, whether that be through messaging, email or video chat, continually focusing on you as a patient and your given injury.

Service

The rehabilitation process begins with an initial 15 minute call to briefly discuss your injury and what we offer. Following on from this, we will book in an initial consultation to break down the entire injury history, any other relevant details and where we need to get you back to. From here, we will assess, diagnose and treat your injury with the required rehab. We treat patients with injuries ranging from acute all the way to chronic pain which has been plaguing them for 10+ years.

Typically, we will send through demo videos and a breakdown of the rehab movements to make sure you are happy with everything and that you are never left in the dark about what we have gone through.

From here, if further sessions are required, we will continue to re-assess your injury to see how it has improved and how we can then progress your rehab to finally return you back to your given activity.

Testimonials

Knee

"I experienced pain on the front of my knee when running and particularly when lifting my left knee from the floor. Thomas carried out an initial assessment, gave me rehab and exercises to do, over a period of five sessions my knee pain was vastly reduced and mobility was restored. Thomas sent video clips of the rehab exercises which gave me no excuses for not doing my home rehab. Highly recommended Thomas as a rehab practitioner."

— Chris, runner & CrossFit enthusiast

Lower back Spine

"Rehabilitation with Tom has been life-changing for me. I had spinal surgery in late 2024 and, afterwards, returning to normal life, let alone weightlifting, felt daunting and almost unachievable. I started working with Tom around four months post-surgery, and it's now been a year. We began with mobility work that really opened my eyes to the importance of the posterior chain and how simple, fluid movement should form the foundation of everything. Since then, we've progressed back into weightlifting, including deadlifts, something I genuinely never thought I'd be able to do again. Tom is patient, kind, and takes a truly holistic approach to support and recovery. If you're lucky enough to live nearby, whether you're a CrossFitter or going through rehab, you'll be in incredibly capable hands."

General

"Thomas is professional and confident. He instantly identifies the problem and provides detailed feedback throughout sessions that resolves evident and underlying issues where others could not. The rehab was simple, straightforward, easy to follow, and he gave thorough demonstrations and clear follow-ups. The progression was linear with evident recovery from the first sessions, and I have been able to return back to full training."

— Finlay

Knee

"Highly recommend Thomas for helping with recovery from knee operation for my daughter. Personalised exercises attending weekly sessions has seen her to full recovery and back to regular exercise — thank you! After experiencing misalignment in posture and back pain, Thomas identified the weaknesses in alignment and provided a series of exercises to help relieve pain and correct my posture. After regularly following these the pain has gone and given me a toolbox of exercises to return to when needed."
